DESCRIPTION:
Norwegian BankID is updating the user interface (UI) of the BankID web client to align with the modern design already used across other services in the authentication and signing flow. This includes a refreshed and consistent visual style for all dialogs displayed throughout the user journey.

CONSEQUENCE: The following changes has already been rolled out to pre-production 21st – 25th of April, and will be deployed to production 26th – 30th of May’ 2025:
• Updated visual styling for all dialogs shown during authentication and signing flows.
• Harmonised colours, typography, spacing, button styles, and icons
• Support for both light and dark mode, consistent with the current experience for biometric authentication
• UI alignment across web client, BankID app and OIDC-based client flows

However, no changes can be observed here:
• The underlying functionality and security of the flows remain unchanged.
• Technical integration points for developers using BankID and OIDC stay the same.

New version of NemLog-in Trusted Services May 27, 2025 16:00-18:00 CEST

DESCRIPTION:
A new version of the Nemlog-in Trust Services will be deployed: NemLog-in3 Trust Services new software version 1.4.2 in PROD

CONSEQUENCE:
The services will remain stable during the update.

FALLBACK:
Microservices and configuration from the old release will be re-installed. Time for backout is 10 minutes.

E-Signing flow changes - Planned for production rollout on 4-Jun-2025 Jun 4, 2025 11:00-12:00 CEST

Planned changes are scheduled for the E-Signing flow, impacting customers using Authenticate-Based Signing (ABS) and CSS. These changes will be implemented in the:

Pre-Production environment on 31st March &
Production on 4th June.

New Redesigned ID Verifier App released in Pre-production Jun 5, 2025 12:00-13:00 CEST

Dear Customer,

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new ID Verifier app in Pre-Production as part of IN Groupe. This release includes several updates and improvements as mentioned below:
• Rebranding changes in IDV
• New design for IDV app flow
• Fixing the text structure of Privacy statement
• Navigation Improvements
• New IDV animation tutorial

Sunset of Norwegian BankID Server Oct 1, 2025 10:00-12:00 CEST

THIS NOTIFICATION APPLIES TO:
Customers of Signing & Identification services using Norwegian BankID

TIMELINE FOR CHANGE:
From: Q4’ 2025

DESCRIPTION:
The Norwegian BankID is sunsetting BankID Server for Java & C. As a result, all customers using Norwegian BankID Server API must migrate to the new Norwegian BankID OIDC before Q4’ 2025.

To comply with this, you have two integration options:
- Direct Integration with BankID – similar to your current setup.
- Integration via IN Groupe’s E-Ident Service.

Next steps,
1. Sign an Agreement with IN Groupe
- If you are already using Norwegian BankID Biometrics, no agreement is needed.

- IN Groupe’s Sales team will contact you for agreement signing and to provide legal/financial details.

2. Order a New Norwegian BankID Merchant Certificate
- This must be obtained from Norwegian BankID and shared with IN Groupe.

Affected customers will be contacted by either IN Groupe’s Sales team or Customer Success team.

Sunset of Norwegian BankID Signing Service & introducing new BankID signing solution Dec 31, 2025 12:00-14:00 CET

DESCRIPTION:
Norwegian BankID BankAxept AS is introducing a new BankID signing service, phasing out the current signing service based on the old ‘BankID Server’ technology. The solution supports signing multiple documents simultaneously and meets the strictest EU requirements for digital signing, qualified signing. IN Groupe is currently implementing this update in collaboration with Norwegian BankID.

CONSEQUENCES:
Customers will need to request a new BankID. All customers will be contacted directly by IN Groupe’s Customer Success team. Importantly, this update will not impact the signing process; customers will continue to experience the same signing flow and receive the same signature output - SDO.

DESCRIPTION:
We have updated the Swedish BankID sessions for iOS devices. The redirect from the app to the browser will now occur via the return_url.

CONSEQUENCE:
Support for return_url has been introduced for iOS devices. This ensures that the BankID security app automatically redirects users back to the browser. The user experience remains unchanged from the previous implementation with redirect_url. Key behaviours are as follows:
1. On iOS devices, when using the BankID security app on the same device, the app will always open the default browser once the user completes the authentication, regardless of whether the transaction was initiated in a non-default browser.
2. Also, the BankID security app will open a new tab in the default browser, and the process will continue seamlessly.
This change was originally planned for April 23 but had to be rescheduled.
